Detalles

Holy cow this paint takes its job as "worst ever" way too serious! I am on coat 5 and still going. I painted a light mint over a light cream and what a nightmare. Very thin, streaks, I feel like I'm painting with children's water colors. My wife bought it because it was cheap and definitely getting what she paid for.

Rated 2 de 5 de de THIS is "Glidden"?! I've been painting rooms for decades. *I have never had to use more than one gallon of paint for any bedroom (all "medium" size rooms) - till now.* I used to work with Glidden paints when I lived 'back east', in Wisconsin. I had ALWAYS been happy with Glidden's performance - how it covered the room "perfectly". Always a terrific result. When I moved out-west (Phoenix) I was introduced to a competitor's brand at the Home Depot. For reasons I will not go into here I have been using that paint with great satisfaction for some time now. However, I was pleased to see the familiar, trusted Glidden name on the shelves at Walmart while I was purchasing all the bits and pieces for completing my bedroom make-over. I was at Wallyworld because they are the only place I found "blackout curtains" so I decided to get my paint there too. I chose your "High Endurance" product because it is a "primer"-combination (though my walls did not require priming first. I just washed them, as always, with TSP then rolled it on). As you can see from my FIRST PICTURE the pastel green color I had mixed is a deeper ("darker") color than the wall's original, underlying color. But I was SHOCKED when I finished my first coat. *Normally I will only have to go over places here-and-there where, perhaps, I had not feathered one segment over another while painting each wall in 3'x3' sections. When this paint dried it looked REALLY "PATCHY"!* (SEE my SECOND & THIRD PICTURES.) Every time I paint *my second go at a room is a light roll - hardly any paint on the roller, just evening-out the initial coverage here-and-there. THIS TIME, with this "new" product I had to 'charge' the roller nearly as much as I would with an initial run.* It was only by rolling MORE PAINT THAN USUAL onto my first run that I was able to get rid of that "patchiness" one could easily see - even without direct light illuminating the wall. By the time I completed this more robust touch-up of my initial run - 2/3's of the room with furniture moved to one side - I still had/have fully 1/3 of my bedroom to finish with barely an inch of paint remaining in the gallon! This is totally unacceptable guys. I killed close to an entire weekend on this project - one that should have easily been completed within that time I had set aside for the entire process - and I still have 1/3 of the room to finish!!! (NOTE: Square footage of my room is LESS THAN what you "say", on the can, this paint will cover.) Based upon decades of experience, having painted at least 15 rooms (from kitchens and bathrooms and pantries, living rooms and bedrooms) I KNOW how to estimate the amount of paint I'll need for the project. I'm supposed to purchase ANOTHER GALLON(?!) to complete a project that should have been done last week with one gallon? Sheesh. Sorry to say - really - but unless you tell me this is a One-Off (someone was "asleep at the wheel" when they were mixing the pigment on this batch) resellers tint for customers' projects, it sure does seem the Glidden I remember from the past Is No Longer… NOT AT ALL happy.

Rated 1 de 5 de de HORRIBLE! If I could give this product zero stars, I would. I got this in a white color to paint over a dark brown. I wasn't expecting perfect coverage, that would be ridiculous. However, I was expecting the consistency to be thicker than water. My daughter's friend was goofing off and rolled paint over her dark blue shirt on the back. The shirt is hard, but there was literally NO change in color! No matter how many coats we put on the wall, it looks like whitewash. And no matter how well we squeezed out the excess, we got insane drip marks! Now I'm stuck having to sand the whole wall down to get the drips off of the wall. I've been left with MORE work than when I started! I've honestly loved Glidden up until this point, but this left me with such a bad feeling towards this paint that I won't be bothering to try again. (I also have a friend who's a professional painter look at the wall and tell me there must be something wrong with the paint itself. It shouldn't do that!)

Rated 1 de 5 de de Bad paint Bought a gallon of High Endurance eggshell #6201GE and mixed to the color river rock. Started painting wall and it was covering very well but I keep getting foreign material on wall as I was painting. I thought something was wrong with roller but upon stirring the bottom of the paint can had a big glob of hard material in bottom! Returned can to Walmart and they mixed another can. Went home started painting and it was the same way!! Returned to a different Walmart and before the associate mixed I had him put the paint on the shaker and open and try to stir. THIS CAN WAS THE SAME WAY! He brought up a big hunk of hard material our of can! He tried a few more cans, all the same! So went where my wife originally wanted me to go and get paint, Lowe's!

Rated 5 de 5 de de Best! Paint! Ever! Love this paint/primer! Selling home, and had one room that we stupidly painted dark bordello-red with antique gold designs. I realised it was instantly a mistake, but it's been up for a couple of years now. We decided to try the Glidden primer/paint, since we've liked their regular paint...I was stunned with the perfect results! One quick coat, and that hideous dark red was totally gone!! And no odor, thankfully, since it was chilly and the doors/windows were shut. Thick enough that there was no drips or runs; just beautiful smooth results that went on with ease! I've told all my friends, and posted my praise on FB; which doesn't happen unless I trust something! The price is perfect, too; yet another bonus on a fixed-income! Now it's a neutral light gray and looks 4times it's size!

Rated 1 de 5 de de Terrible, just terrible Bought this paint which I have many times and it has always been great! Great coverage, easy to go on the wall and a great price. Well....I go to my local Walmart the other day to purchase my paint. A quart of one color for my accent wall and a gallon of another for the other 3 walls. I find a guest of my usual eggshell/satin self priming. Can't find a gallon so I go to the counter to ask about a gallon the girl goes back and brings up a quart and a gallon of high endurance interior paint plus primer. I said "I don't want the paint plus primer I want the self priming." I'm told this replaced it. It's the same. So....I take her word for it even though I am skeptical. Well let me tell you. First, the coverage is terrible. Really could have used two coats and I was painting over white. And the paint was thick like painting with glue is the only way I can describe it. Well I get my accent wall done with little to spare and mind you I have a pretty small bedroom. So today I start on the other walls and yes it's just as bad. Horrible coverage. I barely got two walls done out of one gallon and there is a door on each wall. Now in order to finish painting today I have to get ready go back to Walmart and purchase another gallon of paint. Oh and wrap up my paint brush and roller so nothing dries out In all $50 just to paint my bedroom. With the other self priming in the purple label I used to be able to purchase it would have taken one gallon at $20. I cannot express how disappointed and completely frustrated I am. Why on earth would a company change something that was working so well is beyond me. I will never buy Glidden paint again.

Rated 2 de 5 de de Not happy I painted my bedroom with the Glidden High Endurance Interior Paint/Primer Eggshell/Smooth Stone color paint. After finally finishing painting (3 coats) I am discovering that this paint is not going to hold up very well. I bumped the wall very lightly with the corner of a picture frame while hanging it, and it left a black mark on the wall. No big deal, I just touched up the paint. Then I had the broom leaning up against the wall. I bumped the broom, it slid down the wall and onto the floor leaving a mark on the wall where the broom handle slid down. I retouched that paint. Now I am out of paint. How am I going to retouch the paint now? If I had known that I would forever be retouching this paint, I certainly would not have ever bought it. Nor will I ever again. The only good thing I can say about this paint is that the color is beautiful.
